Quick little guide for modifying a 2.0 silvertop throttle body to go onto any silvertop alloy cast inlet manifold.
Start by removing the throttle linkage and bracket from your si TB
Now onto the mondeo throttle body. Start by removing the TPS. Next remove the throttle cable and bracket. And finally the linkage
Now for some modifying
The white part of the si linkage wont fit onto the link arm on the mondeo TB as the diameter is too small and needs to be widened, i used a dremel.
Now for some filing/grinding as the butterfly wont fully open without this. The pic below is without the filing. In the pic in the middle you can clearly see what is restricting it. On the right, after the filing.
Then re-assembly the throttlebody linkage the same way you removed it from the si.
As for the throttle cable bracket, you need to file the part below. With the 2 parts filed it should look something like the pic on the right.
The si throttle cable bracket can now be fitted, i modded mine in order to get a better neater fit.
Ad finally, the reassemble TB.
